Valery V. Obukhov, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor. Dr. Obukhov was born in 1952., and graduated from Tomsk State University. At present, he is a member of the American Mathematical Society, a chairman of Dissertation Board on Degree Program 01.04.02 - "Theoretical physics: theory and methods of teaching" and a member of the Doctorial Board on Degree Program 13.00.01 "General pedagogy" and 13.00.08 "Theory and methods of professional education". Dr. Obukhov has been a Guest Lecturer at Barcelona University (Spain, 1995) and Kali University (Columbia, 1997). He is a member of Federal Educational and Methodical Board of Postgraduate Study.
The Rector is editor-in- chief of the regional scientific magazine, “Vestnik TSPU,” and a reviewer for such magazines as “Russian Journal of Physics" and "Mathematical Review" (USA). He has more than 100 publications in Russian and foreign scientific journals on current topics in theoretical physics.
Valery V. Obukhov is a scientific supervisor of RFBR grants in mathematics (1996-1998, 1999-2001, 2002-2004), the National Foundation of Staff Retraining Grant, and the Federal Scientific Technical Program Grant, "Priority lines of science and technology." He is a scientific moderator of subprogram "Regional peculiarities of general education," and an executor of two RFBR grant programs “Universities in Russia” and " Priority lines of science and technology."
